After breakfast at the hotel, there is a nearby church service you can attend at 9:30a (optional). At 10:30a we’ll head to the Munich Residence & Treasury (entrance ticket and audio guide included) and spend a few hours exploring the museum and neighboring Christmas markets. At 2:30p we will hop on a private chartered bus and make our way to the Bavarian mountain resort town, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, where we will grab some dinner and experience a torch lit night hike through an icy gorge. We’ll leave Garmisch by 9p and make our way to our hotel in Innsbruck, Austria. 

Innsbruck is rich with history as it was the center of the Hapsburg empire so after a lovely breakfast at our hotel in Innsbruck we’ll walk a few steps over to the Imperial Palace for a tour (entrance included) after which you’ll be free to check out the other sights in Innsbruck. There are museums, an olympic ski jump with an amazing view, and even a cable car ride to top of the alps! In the evening we’ll meet back up for dinner and a show hosted by the local Tyrolean singing group!

We’ll get an early start this day, hopping on our bus and heading to the world famous Aqua Dome Spa. There we will enjoy breakfast and spend the day relaxing in the pools, saunas and steam rooms. (Entrance, robe and locker included in tour package) You will have the opportunity to book extra services such as massages, facials, blow outs, etc.

After breakfast at the hotel we will pack our things and make our way towards Salzburg. Our first stop will be at the Hallien Salt mines where we will take a tour you won’t want to miss! (tickets included) Afterwards we’ll make a brief stop at Helbrunn Palace where the Sound of Music Gazebo can be found along with a beautiful Christmas market complete with a petting zoo! (This market has an entrance fee that is included in your tour) Finally we will head to our hotel to drop our bags before heading out to enjoy the salzburg christmas markets.

After breakfast at the hotel you are free to explore all that Salzburg has to offer. (Mozart museum & residence, funicular to the fortress overlooking the city, or book a Sound of Music morning tour. In the late afternoon we’ll meet back up for a cooking class where we will learn to make traditional apple strudel and pretzels. 

We’ll have an early breakfast at the hotel and at 8a begin making our way to the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna. There we will enjoy an 11a tour (tickets included) after which you’ll be free to grab some lunch and enjoy the Christmas market in front of the palace. At 2p we’ll meet back up at the bus for a quick 1 hour journey to Bratislava, the capitol of Slovakia. We’ll spend the evening exploring this charming city before checking into our hotel in Vienna.

Vienna is known as the city of music but I would argue it’s the city of Christmas magic! After breakfast at the hotel you’ll be free to see for yourself what I mean! There are over 20 Christmas markets throughout the city and they all can be found on the google map you’ll be provided. The day is yours but I would recommend getting tickets to the Belvedere to see Klimt’s ‘The Kiss’ painting, eating lunch or dinner at the beautiful Cafe Central, getting kaiserschmarrn at Demel near St. Stephensplatz for dessert and going for a horse drawn carriage ride through the city before wandering one the many Christmas markets!

Unless you are extending your stay it’s time to fly home. Vienna has a great airport that is easily accessible by a city airport train ride of about 15 minutes. **I highly recommend an afternoon or evening flight home. (if you book a morning flight home you’ll need to account for travel time to the airport in addition to arriving at the airport several hours ahead and so it may end up looking more like a middle of the night flight).
